This studio aims at dealing with the issues of climate change, particularly sea level rise in the city of Savannah, Georgia. The studio divided its research based on the drainage basins. We focused on studying the Springfield canal and the north Springfield basin and the adverse effects caused by storm surge and sea level rise. Through the studio we explored two major strategies of retreat and adapt in dealing with situations involving flooding. As we moved further with the research. Thestrategies evolved through the course of the semester and we divided into smaller groups to explore the same.

The brief of the renovation of the store was to create holistic floor space for sale of Indian Bridal Wear and provide a storage corridor so that the floor space doesn’t get hindered with the incoming stock of all the clothing material, and provides a continuous space for different sales chambers to cater to about 7 different clients at once. The design was done keeping in mind the Traditional Indian Aesthetics and was done by incorporating arches in the partitions and by also adding a little fusion with deconstructing the arch that has been used in the chamber partitions.
